Nothing exciting ever happens to a person nearing sixty. You have seen most everything, and done most everything. And the lack of energy ( compared to when you were twenty ) is really a curse. You decide to go to the shopping mall to kill some time, but soon realize that everyone is staring at you, and wishing you would go away and not pollute the atmosphere of the mall. * Sigh * what do I do then? I've just watched all my favorite TV programs; played some online chess; vacuumed the floor. Now what? Yes, I've got to start cooking for the family. Got to make it real simple. If they want something fancy, they have to do it by themselves. Don't expect me to slog over the stove. Oh yes, the dog is wagging his tail. Time to take him for a walk. Then back again to watching TV. When is it going to happen that when I wake up,I discover that there is a contract out for me, and that I'd better find a good hiding place or risk being rubbed out ? See you again tomorrow. Maybe. The phone's ringing. Could just be Ricardo- the Mafia hit man.
